Insides on Caribbean Princess

We're looking at some decent deals on inside cabins on a future

Caribbean Princess cruise (don't spend much time in the cabin anyway).

Is there some rule thumb on how these are classified regarding square footage (135 sq-ft to 190 sq-ft is a pretty wide range) or proximity to noisy things.

All of the following are listed at the SAME price:

Here are some sample rooms:

Category I: Riviera 253, or Aloha 416

Category JJ: Baha 420 or Aloha 253

Category J: Baha 248 or Caribe 417

Category KK: Caribe 724 or 224

Category K: Plaza 327

Categories L and M are "Gaurantee only"

Thanks for any input

Just returned from the 4/29 sailing and stayed in R245 inside (cat i) and there was ample space in the cabin. Nice dresser/w3 drawers, and fridge, bed and 2 nightstands w/2 drawers each, small glass table. Nice size closet with plenty of hangers, and shelves w/a safe. Bathroom small like most cruise ships. We put our glass table in the closet area to free up floor space in the cabin.

We really liked this location, as we were right around the corner from the steps/elevators. Just up 1 flight of stairs to the pools and lido buffets. Great for the sea days.

Any other questions, let me know!

  • 2 weeks later...

My daughters were in L 237 on the Star Princess. We booked gty, and were upgraded to the II category cabin. It was nice being so close to the pools, etc and was still pretty quiet. They made out well, but have also lived in college dorms.... Have some pictures if you want to post your email address, I'll try to send some. By the way, they had great service from their room steward even in an inside cabin.

I appreciate your reply.

One of the questions I still have not quite figured out, is that for all of the inside cabins, is there some sort of guide to whether or not the different classes of cabins are of different sizes..

We were on Star Princes in category JJ (when it caught fire..!), and found the room to be large enough for our needs.

I didn't know whether or not those lower in class are somewhat smaller or not.

Would love some pics if you have them.
