snoopy_leogirl Posted June 26, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2004 Anyone know of any really good malls in Seattle which have some of the more popular stores like Gap, The Limited, Express, etc? Also, would prefer if it is in or close to downtown Seattle or not too far away. Thanks.
VickiVSN Posted June 27, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2004 Downtown Seattle is a shopping haven. A lot of stores are not in malls per se, but street front stores. The Bon-Macy's and Nordstrom (the flagship store) being the two most popular department stores. Here is a listing of 174 stores in downtown Seattle - DOWNTOWN SHOPPING . Westlake Center is a cool "mall" with an awesome foodcourt on the top level with food from around the world. Very few "chains" represented. This is also where you can catch the monorail (if it's running, not sure it is right now). And Pacific Place is a bigger mall with a movie theatre, restaruants, etc. The bottom line is--There is no need to get in a car to leave downtown Seattle to shop as everything is an easy walk. In fact, it's my premier shopping destination. I'm hoping to make the trip in two weeks. ImPcJunky Posted June 28, 2004 #4 Share Posted June 28, 2004 If your coming to Seattle, must see is the Pike Street Market.. And you can't ride the Monarail right now.. It is not going to be working for at least Two months. There is a Mall in down town Seattle called the WestLake Mall. It is build in a tower blg. Not flat like most malls. Very fine shops there. Another must see of Seattle. Hope this helps you out.
