Favorite Bar On Sun

Starting to get excited with only a few weeks to go now and was wondering what the group thought was the best bar on the Sun ( for blokes that is)

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Oh, you better tell me about the best ones for the ladies as I will be in trouble!!!!!!:p

Same goes with me, from a guys perspective...will have to check out some of the bars and see what they are like & let you know.The 'outback bar with sunset cocktails sounds' sweet. :p

The best "blokes bar" would be either Legends or the Smugglers Bar.

 

Cocktails on the back deck at The Outback Bar during the day is good, and an after dinner and/or show cocktail in the Speakeasy is a great way to end the day.

I would think most blokes would prefer Legends. My hubby (who doesn't drink) and I loved the Gazebo. We spent quite a bit of time in those high back cane chairs just looking out to sea, with the kids sitting in the window. the only problem with that bar is they don't fill your wine glass. I loved the outback bar too.

I would have to agree about those high back cane chairs, if you could get one, so restful, but I think the Legends was the most popular amongst the men and a few women. It depends on what you want, looking out at the water or watching the televison screen. One thing about the Sun, you have heaps of places to choose from. I tried to spend a bit of time in each.

The speakeasy was a nice place to unwind.

this will show my age but after a long night doing whatever i loved going up to the lido getting a cup of tea (and sometimes a warm cookie) and just relaxing before bed.

The cane chairs or window ledges near the Gazebo Bar & Casino were a great place to sit.

 

We normally ended the day's cruising with a late night walk around the ship, soaking in what was happening in the various bars and lounges, if the weather was ok a walk around the outside deck (of course the best ship for this was Pacific Sky), and then up to the Lido Buffet for a coffee to finish off the night. That's the one thing that was missing from Pacific Sky when we went on it - the free coffee.

 

My one disappointment with Pacific Star was that you couldn't get to the very back of the ship to look out and watch the wake. The only decks that went right back to the stern were inaccessible to most passengers as those decks had crew quarters and the kids centres on them.

It certainly was great to stand at the back & watch the wake. Especially at night time - a bit eerie though!
