Help with excursion choice!

Hello everyone! I've posted on these boards a few times, and I'm always looking at them, trying to get ideas for our upcoming June cruise! I've got a question about excursions. My husband and I have our heart set on snorkeling in the Bahamas. According to the Carnival excursion website, the Catamaran snorkeling is from 2:00 - 4:30. We are in the port from 10:00am - 11:00pm. Will we have enough time to do a little shopping before, go snorkeling, then travel over to Atlantis, just to sight see? We have never been on a cruise before, and we're trying to see and do a lot!!

Thanks for your help!

You should be able to do it all.

Shopping in Nassau is just outside the cruiseship terminal, and pickup for the excursion is also nearby. You should be able to shop, drop off your purchases and join your group for snorkeling before 2pm.

When your trip returns to the wharf.. you can clean up, grab an early dinner and head to the casino or view the digs until 10 pm.. then head back to the dock. It should be a 10-15 min cab drive either way.

Kelly,

I have to give Scubagirl credit for my suggestion but the Booze Cruise in Nassau seems to be a good combination excursion which includes snorkeling. Go to BoozeCruiseBahamas.com.

The booze cruise is a double decker boat with a glass bottom which leaves at 1pm from the back of the straw market. Your first stop is at a reef for snorkeling. After snorkeling, they crank up the music and open the bar. Beer and punch drinks (several kinds) are included. They take you to a beach for an included lunch and more drinks (if you want them). You can snorkel from the beach or just relax. They have you back at the straw market by 5pm.

We're on the Fantasy in mid-June which arrives in Nassau at 10am and leaves at 7pm. This excursion (1pm - 5pm) gives us time before and after to shop and stuff too.

Just a suggestion though. Not for everyone, but if you're young and kidless on this trip, you might want to check it out.

Steve
