Tranquility Shores Beach Break, Freeport

Hi! First time cruiser here. We will be sailing on the Carnival Liberty 11-16-06 for 6 days. Our first stop is in Freeport. We've never cruised or been there before, so I'm being conservative and booking through Carnival for shore excursions. I have this perhaps irrational fear of missing the ship :D

 

So, I would love to spend some time on warm sand & thinking of booking the Tranquility Shores Beach Break. Has anyone been there? Is it worth it?

 

How much time should we allow before/after an excursion to get on/off the ship? And (perhaps a stupid question) how does one get on & off the ship?

We were just there last week..and large part of our group did that excursion and LOVED IT! good food, beautiful beach and very relaxing is what they said. The teenage girls played beach volleyball.....

 

It was their highlight of their trip!
