Brushtail Posted May 29, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2006 Good morning everyone, Well Icemaiden and Pommiepom, judging by the webcam and the time, we will have to get up VERY early on the last morning to catch the sail-in to Sydney Harbour. This picture was taken at 6.25am and the bridge is nearly overhead. We have been watching since 6am and were surprised that although docking time is 8.00am, the Sun sails into Sydney so early. As you may be able to see, people are rugged up and there are plenty of them out to watch. It must be a special sight and one not to be missed. So set those alarms for the last morning............ Jenny :) :) >^..^<
Druke I Posted May 29, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 29, 2006 We've run into the same situation sailing into San Francisco Bay, you have to get up early if you want to see the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge before you pass under it. By-the-by, we've sailed into Sydney Harbor three times, and it is also a very pretty setting.
suexxx Posted May 29, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2006 Good morning everyone. Watched Sun coming home also. What a sight. Felt like I was on board but I am warmer than them. Hope they all had a ball.

We got up at 5am when we came back & we didn't dock until 9.15. Daughter was not happy. She could have slept in a couple more hours. Karen
howsthis Posted May 30, 2006 #5 Share Posted May 30, 2006 They have an early buffet breakfast for you, some people stay up all night for the last night. We got up at 5 and there was plenty of time to take in the sights, special moments that early, absolutely beautiful to see, even if we were freezing. We docked about 7 or so and then had to sit around anyway waiting for our colour and number to be called to disembark. We got off about 9.30am.
