Rucksack or Beachbag??

Just wondering what is best.....rucksack or beach bag I don't really want to take both but can't decide. Will be going on shore excursions most days and post cruise too.

 

Anyone's opinions or previous experiences would be great.

Take the rucksack because it'll leave your hands free. A beach bag will not give you that option.

I will only take a bag off the ship that my husband doesn't mind carrying. I'm not a fan of backpacks, would not ask him to carry any of my beachbags (too girly) so we have a great Hawaiian print bag that is more like a small duffle bag. You can sling it over your shoulder and it carries more than an average sized backpack. I've seen some really nice Tommy Bahama duffle bags in some stores.
