We will be flying in to ft lauderdale 2 nights prior to cruise in December. Ship leaves uot of Miami.

Any suggestions on which city to stay in and a descent hotel? (Miami or Ft lauderdale)

My favorite hotel in Fort Lauderdale is the pelican beach and its close to Los Olas 10 minutes from the Airport:)

Has anyone stayed at the Hampton Inn Fort Lauderdale Airport North. It looks very nice and offers a shuttle?

We stayed there last July, Im sorry it was awful. Atleast our romm was. We were on the first florr it smelled really bad smoke and who knows what else. It was really nosy and the shower well i wanted to ware shoes. It was only 1 night and I did complain but no one cared. They had free shuttle service so I guess that was worth it but............ It is hard to look from pictures they all look nice. We are satying Im sure in a dive again this year but it is better than flying a red eye!!
