If it is the restaurant I'm thinking of (across from the church), then we just walked in without a reservation and there was no problem. Order the saganaki, although they don't call it that and you will have to describe what you want. It was incredible.

The only reason I wanted to make a reservation was because we have 7 in our group and with hundreds of people getting off the ships, I thought it would be easier if we had a reservation instead of possibly waiting in line.

 

Can you tell me what saganaki is?

Saganaki is an appetizer - it is a Greek cheese baked with a liqueur, and at least in the states it is brought to the table and flamed tableside.

Wow! That sounds terrific. I will definitely have to order this wherever we go. I am still aiming for Archipelagos. I was incorrect in my location. It is not in Oia. It is in Fira.
