SamanthasDad Posted June 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2006 We are sailing this Thursday and received a call from our TA saying that we have been upgraded from P2 to Q3. From what I can see in the brochure it is quite an impressive upgrade. Do Upgrades normally come this late? We had given up on the idea of a complimentary upgrade about a week ago. Any information on Queens Grill compared to princess would be appreciated. Now we are in Queens Grill is it worth still going to Todd English? ocngypz Posted June 10, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2006 This sailing had been close to sell out for quite awhile, and yes, an upgrade would come this late, if not later.
cruisecubs Posted June 10, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2006 Congratulations - you are going to love the Queen's Grill. We sailed on the May 29th crossing and was also fortunate enough to be upgraded from Princess to Queen's Grill (although not quite as late as you - approximately 6 weeks before sailing). The food/experience was fabulous! We did have lunch at Todd English once and found it to be quite good but would have been happy just eating in the Queen's Grill. They serve a daily menu which changes but also have a standard menu which is the same from day to day. Also, the staff is so accommodating that they will pretty much serve anything that you wish! Some of our favorites - the Tiramisu, the Dover Sole, the Duck l'Orange, and the Lobster Ravioli... Enjoy!
trams Posted June 10, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 10, 2006 We are going on 30th July Med' cruise in a P3 suite. We were upgraded from an A grade at time of booking a year ago as we are celebrating our 40th anniversary. There would be very little chance of being offered a Q suite. Please post your thouights when you return particularly the shore excursions as I shall be interested to hear how the shortened time in some ports affects things. Enjoy your cruise
