caroliemarie Posted June 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 12, 2006 Just returned from two weeks on the Valor. It was an amazing vacation and a highly recommend doing a back to back cruise. You get to know the staff more and are treated more like family. We received a couple of gifts from the Purser and were given the same "privileges" as VIP cruisers. The debarkation for the first week was smooth. We were told to meet in the Hero's Lounge at 10am. There, we were given juice/coffee and danishes. Once the ship was cleared of all other guests, a lady from the Purser's desk met us, gave us our new Sail & Sign cards and walked us off the ship to immigration. At the immigration line we skipped those waiting in line, handed our declaration card over, and were escorted back on the ship. We were then served lunch early. The food was great. The entertainment was great (especially the break dancers in the Far From Over show). The ports were great. The only thing that wasn't great was getting off the ship the last time. We were in cabin 7440 which is an aft wrap-around balcony (and the rest of our group in cabin 7434). The best cabin on the ship by far. I would write a detailed review but I don't think I can find the time for that. If you have any questions feel free to ask. If you want to see pictures I will try and upload them later. For anyone cruising on the Valor in the next few months, be sure to tell Peter (the bar waiter in the Ivanhoe Lounge) that Miss Carolie says hi. He was the best. gymbrat33 Posted June 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 12, 2006 I'm glad that you had a wonderful time. I've sailed on the Valor twice and it's my favorite ship. I loved the Far From Over show and the break dancers. Thanks for letting us know about the debarkation and embarkation process when you're on a back to back cruise. jerseygirl3 Posted June 12, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 12, 2006 Carolie, I think we shared breakfast with you and your family one morning. We are the couple who had our four sons with us, as well as three of their friends. I was the one who told you if you were looking to try another cruiseline, to check our Princess. Glad to hear your second week was as good as the first. Be glad you didn't have to get off after that first week. We sat at Miami airport until 7:30 p.m. because they closed the airport due to thunderstorms.

Hello there, im very glad you had a wonderful time. My wife and I are gonna take a b2b cruise on the Valor next november, we booked an oceanview guaranteed. Did you get those gifts and had VIP provileges because you were a past guest, because you had a balcony or because you were cruising back to back?? Thanks for the info, and i would love to see your pics in case you have the time to upload them
caroliemarie Posted June 12, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted June 12, 2006 Jerseygirl3 - I remember having breakfast with you! What a coincidence. VenezuelanCruiser - the VIP privileges were because of doing the back to back. We are past guests but received the special treatment on the second week only.
