jhinjhin Posted June 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2006 Are there taxi's at the ports in case we want to explore on our own? We are going to thte Greek islands. Also can the crew on board tell you what a reasonable price to pay would be to get to certain destinations from port?
shirleygr Posted June 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2006 Try the ports of call section for answers to your questions. You should be able to find lots of info for your specific port. Have fun!
sunandsalt Posted June 13, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 13, 2006 Depends on the island. On Mykonos, there is a shuttle bus to the area where you can get a cab ($4.00 each way). Or you can walk about 20 - 25 miniutes on a very narrow road. On Santorini, you take a cable car or ride a donkey up to Fira (3.50 euro each way). Once there, it's a short walk to get a cab. In Piraeus (Athens), cabs are available at the dock.
