Snorkeling St. John - best way?

Recommended Posts

My husband and I love to snorkel and would like to know what is the best way to do the MOST snorkeling while we are docked in St. Thomas. Should we use a private tour operator or perhaps rent a dinghy and go out on our own?

Thanks for the help!

We are also thinking the dingy may be the way to go. I think it would be possible to go right up the coast. They have them to rent in Cruz Bay at The ferry stop in St. Johns. I've seen some different prices.Still looking. I worry about the archoring. Hate to damage any coral. If not then we are going to Cinnamon Bay. Hope to see some posts of people that have done the dingy thing.
