tendering in bad weather?

How bad does the weather have to be before you cannot tender into port?

The only tender port we have ever missed was Grand Cayman. We had 12 foot seas.

What time of year? I sure hope to be able to get there in February!

You should be OK in February, although, you never know! You can have bright, sunny skies, no wind, but ocean swells will determine the tendering. You can have rain and wind, but very calm seas, too. February is usually great weather dwon there, but his past year was a bit unusual. I think you'll be just fine!

If we can't make it to Grand Cayman, what is the worst that can happen? We get an extra sea day and book another cruise to get there next time!!!!!!!!

You know, I think I may be one of the only cruisers to make it to Grand Cayman on every cruise I've been on to the Western Carib., and those cruises were on every time of year!

We were sailing in August and there was a tropical storm in the Caribbean. Eventually, we booked another cruise and made it to Grand Cayman. :)

We have always made it to GC. But many of the same cruises were supposed to stop at Playa del Carman also and we have NEVER made it there. So you never know.
