Those are really good pics. Thanks so much for taking the time to do that. I think you should also post them on the general Royal Caribbean board, as many people who are cruising for the first time would love to see what the food looks like, but I don't think would look here.

Thanks again!

Good idea! I will do that.

IrishDolphin: Chops was fantastic and well worth the $20 charge! While we thought the food in the main dining room was good, everything in Chops was so much better.

Nothing better than food porn! Thank you for posting the link. Of course I'm hungry now.

I was salivating when I was editing through my photos. Funny how I almost remembered every dish. In some cases, I could actually still taste the flavor and sense the texture from a bite of each one.

OK, now I'm hungry, too.

Wish I had one of those Johnny Rockets burgers right now. :p

Your picture of the grilled scallop appetizer looks alot like the scallop risotto' date=' one of my favorites! Nice job. Laura[/quote']

Thank you, Laura. I think the scallops were on a small bed of risotto. The scallops were so good, we ordered another serving. :D

My poor husband. He came out just as I was looking at the picture of the Cod, which brought up the Cod he STOLE from me (I had Mal de Mare and was napping, but had every intention of eating my Cod). He got a dirty look from me :D

That all looks so delicous. Thanks for the pics. I am booked on my first cruise through carnival and i was told the food is slightly better than RCCL but honestly after looking at those I'm wondering if that info was true. I wonder if anyone has taken pics of all thier meals on carnival?

Here is my two cents. Been on both lines more than once and I find the food to be about the same with both Carnival and RCI each have their strong and weak points. Keep in mind that we all have different taste buds so you and I could sit down at the same table and eat the same exact meal and come away with two totally different conclusion on the meal. I have yet to go hungry on a cruise. Always something good to eat.:)

;)

Just returned from the Mariner of the Seas and I took photos of just about every meal we had on board. If you want to have a look, the photo album is located here:

Fantastic...thank you so much for these great pictures. You really have both myself and my husband looking forward to some much needed pampering with great food to look ahead for with our Halloween trip on the NOV.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.................

Hard to believe it has only been going on 3 months since I was eating those decadent meals.

My faves in the MDR: The duck entree and the escargot appetizer.

(Snails were a first for me, and I could not BELIEVE how incredible there were.

Chops: Filet Mignon and the Un FREEKIN Believable Mississippi Mud Pie. I am still having dreams of that dessert. :D

I also had the escargot appetizer and it was surprisingly good. I had only eaten escargot one other time in my life and I think I'll be having it more often from now on.

And, yes, I have to also agree about the duck. I had the Long Island Duck and it was very, very good. Tender, not dry and definitely not greasy. Wonderful flavor.

Finally... do we have the same tastes? I also had the filet mignon in Chops and it was to die for. I had read on CC that the ribeye or T-bone was to be avoided but the filet is the way to go.

Here's a pic of the duck entree I had on the Mariner:
