A Little Something Extra

I have posted this on my roll call thread but I wanted to get everyone thoughts

 

Hey all,

 

I have been thinking of a idea to do something nice for a member of the crew on our cruise. We all know that they work their tails off for us.

 

What do you all think about this: We all meet up sometime while on board and contribute to a tip pool. It doesn't have to be a lot of money per person just what you feel like contributing. We can then draw a name out of a hat and that person can decide what crew member gets the tip.

 

Just a thought and I am open to other suggestions. Please let me know what you think.

It's nice of you to want to do something extra for a crew member, but personally, I would rather tip the people who go above and beyond for me, like my cabin steward, dining room team, bartenders, etc. We have given extra tips (in addition to the auto tips) on both of our cruises, due to outstanding service. Handed personally to the crew members who gave us the service.

 

If you draw a name out of a hat, chances are that the crew member that person chooses to give the "extra" to may not have crossed paths with you yourself.

 

But, hey, if it's something you want to do, I say go for it! :)
