danim Posted June 22, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2006 Hello everyone can someone tell me the benefits to booking the next cruise while on board the current cruise? I thought I had read before that you can book it, and then actually get your good rate (via. your own travel company) but by booking on board you are given incentives. Thank You in Advance. debshomespun Posted June 22, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 22, 2006 You will receive an on board credit of $100. for a 7 night cruise. I am not sure what the amount is for a shorter/longer cruise. That is the total per cabin, not per person. If you take the name of your travel agent with you, they will make the arrangements, and give the booking directly to your agent. You will need to put down your deposit, which would be $250. pp on a 7 day cruise. Hope this helps!
Barbee524 Posted June 22, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 22, 2006 When you book on board you will receive a shipboard credit to be used on the cruise you book. The credits range from $50 to $200, dependant on the length of the cruise you book. They will tarnsfer the booking to your TA if you want them to (I do). You need to put down the deposit at the time you book. If the price of the cruise drops after you have booked just contact your TA if you use one or RCI and they will adjust the price. The same holds true if you have a Crown & Anchor coupon to apply. If you change your mind about which cruise you want to take you can change your cruise and retain the shipboard credit as long as you keep the same booking number. Though if you change from a 4 day to a 7 day cruise at a later date the amount of your shipboard credit does not increase (i have done this). And finally if for any reason you need to cancel the same cancellation and final pament dates apply. We usually take one cruise a year and book onboard for the next cruise. We just booked on board last month and I'm already thinking of changing ships.

Rare silentbob007 Posted June 22, 2006 #6 Share Posted June 22, 2006 My parents booked another cruise on the Grandeur when they were on her in May and just recently changed their booking to a Christmas cruise on her. The change was completely handled through the travel agent that had been assigned and the change didn't seem to have any complications ... though I guess we'll have to wait until we're onboard to see if we get our credit. :)
