A few questions for first time on RCCL

Recommended Posts

Ok this is the first time I will be sailing with RCCL on Majesty. I have been on 2 carnival cruises and I just wanted to know about a few of things that I'm sure are different between the two.

1. What is the room service menu like? Can you get hot food Or is just cold items and sandwiches on CCL?

2. What kind of channels do you get on the TV? CNN or Headline News?

3. Does RCCL sell red bull?

4. How is cabin 9020?

5. Do they have Texas holdem in the casino?

6. Do they do this quest thing I keep hearing about on the 3 day cruise?

7. I'm proposing to my Girlfriend on the cruise any suggestions ? I'm thinking something in the dining room on formal night.

Thanks in advance!

Can't help you on everything, but here are a few answers.

Room Service has a pretty full menu of hot and cold items, plus some extras. We ordered wraps or cheese plates late in the afternoon. But they also have all kinds of other choices (many breakfast choices, sandwiches, salads, hamburgers, steaks, etc.). The menu is on your in-room tv. Room service is included, but everyone always suggests a tip of a couple of bucks.

The TV had various channels - a movie channel, a pay-per-view movie channel, Headline News, CNN, cartoon network, a Nick At Night type channel, plus many on-board channels with live shots of the ship, positioning, advertising for events, replays of shows. Some of the satellite channels could be a bit spotty.

Never saw Red Bull available for sale - or Mountain Dew, etc.

Quest is a late-night game for adults that is played in one of the theatres. It's one of those things that no one discusses because it is fun to have the surprise.

There was a thread about a week ago asking about how to propose onboard a ship - people had some good ideas. Maybe you could do a search of the message boards to find it? Some had made arrangements with the maitre d'

Good luck with the proposal, and have a great cruise!
