tobsterz Posted June 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2006 We will be going to Grand Cayman on the Enchantment the first week of October, and are a little leary about booking our excursions prior to sailing...any advice? we would prefer not to book through the ship, as we would like to have smaller groups (we are looking at the stingray city or sandbar, or snorkeling trips), and would like to save money as well. Has anyone had experience in booking a shore excursion from a private operator and then had the port cancelled due to weather? Along the same lines, is it feasible to wait until we are in port to choose an excursion? Thanks so much in advance!
twinkletoes4445 Posted June 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2006 We booked with Captain Marvin's ahead of time (both times we were in GC) and were not charged until we arrived at their office for the tour. CM's won't charge you if your ship isn't able to stop in Grand Cayman.

twinkletoes4445 Posted June 29, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 29, 2006 THanks so much for your input! We were actually looking to book through Capt. Marvins, so problem solved, I guess! Thanks!! We're going back in January and plan on using them again. They helped us with general information about the island (when we were looking for a condo there). Very nice people. If you have any questions at all, Ruth or Joan will answer them all. Have a great time! :)
