Janet&Ty Posted June 30, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2006 I looks like we will not be able to vacation this summer due to work schedules. I am really thinking of doing a 3 day cruise either Dec. 27 or Jan. 11. We have sailed DCL before in January. We were lucky with the weather except for the Sail-Away Celebration which was inside because it was 40 degrees! The problem with Dec. is $$. It is so much more then, but DS will not have to miss school. If we wait until January, the price is $1000 less and we can have a verandah vs. oceanview in Dec. Is the cruise that much more special in Dec.? We know what to expect in January.
Ginamarie Posted July 1, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2006 I'd go with the January trip. In December you're going to pay more, and the ship will be a full capacity +. I've cruised during holiday periods and found it to be less enjoyable. On a three day cruise, your son won't have to miss too many days of school, and you'll probably save a bundle.
