QM2 September general info

Does anyone know how smooth the seas are from NY to Haifax? We have sailed several cruises in caribbean and did not have any probelms. Would you recommend the patch?

 

Does anyone know how many formal days on the 4 day cruise?

Hi - this is Maria from Brooklyn and I posted the answers to your questions on the Roll Call Thread.:)

 

But Horrors:eek: I forgot to mention our Cruise Critic meet and greet is at 2pm on Sept. 3rd in the Commodore Club on deck 9 forward.

It was very smooth the time we did this before but its also the Atlantic that is less sheltered than the Carribean...

We've done an Eastern Canadian in September with no problem on a smaller ship. Just remember that the rogue wave that almost sunk the QE1 during WWII happened off Halifax. The north Atlantic can be unpredicatable.

WE have done four Canada New England cruises in Sept. The most recent was in 2005 aboard The Norwegian Jewel. We have only had one cruise (2001) in which the weather was "interesting" Having said that we have also been a port ahead of a storm one year. Overall, I do not think there is a lot of reason for concern. This year we are once again on the Atlantic Sept 24th crossing from Southampton to New York (Bayonne new Jersey this time) on QM2. We are trusting the weather again this year. It is our sixth transatlantic crossing but this is the first one Sept.
