Inside Stateroom Question

This may be a silly question, but I have yet to see the inside of an Inside Stateroom. We are travelingon the Elation on 7/9 and we are currently booked in a 4A cabin. When I pull up the pictures of the room, to get an idea of what to expect, there appears to be a window with a closed curtain. My question is, what is behind the curtain? Is it a window to the hallway or is it a picture of something or a mock window? I know it sounds silly to ask but I can't help but be curious.:o

Also are these rooms much smaller than the 6A cabins?

Thanks :)

There's nothing behind the curtain. Bizarre isn't it?:D

hehe...it is a wee bit, but it does make a nice shelf for a book, a drink etc.

To the OP, it's a fake window. This was discontinued after the Fantasy class of ships.

Thanks. Actually that is a relief. I was baffled when I saw it. My fear was that it was really a picture of the OV cabin and that when I got to my IS cabin it was gonna be nothing but a closet;) .

for an inside cabin that fake curtain gives the illusion that there is a window. the newer ships dont have it and the room looks closed in.

the inside cabins are the same as the oceanview cabins without a window or a sofa.

I used it to keep my glasses, alarm clock, book, etc. There is a light behind the curtain that gives the illusion of an outside light. I missed that little fake window when we did the Miracle. :)
