If we only wanted to go to the Boatyard for food/drinks...would we still need to pay the admission fee?

The only way to get to the food and drink is through the admission gate. I think the answer is: yes you will have to pay. It really is like a cover charge for the music and entertaiinment, not just use of the beach.

Does anyone know of a bar near the port where a group of us can agree to re-group and meet for cocktails before returning to the ship.
