conch Fritters

My favorite place is a small restaurant across the street from the British Colonial hotel. It is called 'Conch Fritters'. You must also try the conch chowder and the conch salad. I just can't get enough of that stuff.

The portions are also large enough to share.

I believe Conch Fritters restaurant is still closed.

Your best bet for authentic Conch Fritters is a trip to the Fish Fry at Arawak Cay. Most all of the local restaurants serve Conch Fritters, Conch Salad and/or Cracked Conch. It's a real treat.

Thanks for the responses.

Pampaul conch fritters are almost like fried claims but the meat is thicker.

Conch salad is like a cold soup type dish. The salad is good but the fritters are better.

We had some good ones several years ago at a Greek restaurant right on the "main" street. It was upstairs from a shop and we were able to sit on the balcony and watch all the going ons on the street. Does anyone know the name of this restaurant and if it is still open?
