Backpacks on islands?

Just curious to see what people bring with them on the islands. Do you bring straw bags that has a lot of room? A backpack with all the zippers so everything is secured? Or what other suggestions do you have for me? Anything would be helpful, first time on island. Thanks!

Whatever works best for you. If you like to be chic, the straw bag sounds nice.I have a backpack with wheels, use it for carry-on on planes, use it for

shopping and for going to the beach. Having secure pockets, plus room for

water bottle, etc, is handy. I can use wheels or strap it on. You will see all

kinds of things. Just have fun!!;)

I always go with a small backpack. Carry ziplocks with you to keep things dry.

Like browe, I use a backpack and bring ziplock bags to keep things dry. I like the backpack because it leaves your hands free.
