Safe Size

We sailed on Minerva II (another "R" ship clone) in 2004. The safe in our room was big enough to hold a SLR camera. I would guess you get at least 10" x 8" x 6", maybe more than that. I expect to see the same safe when we sail with Insignia in 2 weeks.

You might want to take a large zip-lock bag for wallets, credit cards, etc.

There is a lip at the bottom of the safe, and thin items can "hang up" there, and it is possible to miss items with a "hand sweep".

So I am guessing the safe is too small for a laptop to fit? Also what type of safe is this? set your own code or use a credit card?

Thanks!

No, a laptop would be too big. The safe is open when you board, you then choose a code and set it for the remainder of the trip. Be sure the code your choose is something you will remember!
