Blackbeards Cay excursion

We're going on Carnival and one of the excursions is Blackbeards Cay. I was wondering for anyone that's done this before, the excursion says it is 3 hours...are there boats coming and going all day? We will have a 3yo in our group and I'm a little worried about being "trapped" on the island. Can you leave early if needed? Also, does anyone know what food (specifically) is available for purchase? Thanks so much!

There are only a few independent tour that go to Blackbeards, so you will have to come and go on the same boat. (you're given a colored bracelet to identify which group you are with). There's no ferry service back and forth.

It's a pretty decent size island, with lots of shade. But bring along bug spray if you are looking to stay in the shady tree area. It get's gnatty near the pine trees.

As for food, it's mainly hot dogs and burgers, chicken strips and fries etc.

I believe they also have a salad.
