JohnT106 Posted July 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2006 I was just wondering. We are leaving on the Empress of the Seas 8-5-06 out of philly to Bermuda. Does anyone throw confetti when the ship leaves port anymore. I remember seeing it on TV.
Sheffie Posted July 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 12, 2006 Nope, not any more. It isn't environmentally friendly to do so, and you are not allowed to throw anything overboard. (Except for chairhogs' items! JK)

Sheffie Posted July 13, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 13, 2006 I remember when The Love Boat was on tv and our then 5 year old daughter said, "All I want to know is WHO cleans up the litter!"
CaptData Posted July 13, 2006 #6 Share Posted July 13, 2006 Bring bubbles. That is what I did.
Cotton Posted July 13, 2006 #7 Share Posted July 13, 2006 About bubbles.... Just be careful and not spill the liquid on deck. I saw a lady slip and fall in bubble liquid - sprained her ankle - what a great way to start her cruise. And I'm sure everyone would know not to toss the empty bubble bottle overboard. Not bio-degradeable eco-friendly, and could choke and kill sea life.
