jabraun Posted July 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2006 Just booked the Liberty on 6 /30/07 sailing. We have a Grand suite which will connect to a d1 balcony. Just wondering what the Grand suites are like and if they are worth the extra $$$. We have always had an inside or promanade view. Never an outside cabin. Yenom Posted July 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2006 Just booked the Liberty on 6 /30/07 sailing. We have a Grand suite which will connect to a d1 balcony. Just wondering what the Grand suites are like and if they are worth the extra $$$. We have always had an inside or promanade view. Never an outside cabin. I am not a promoter of the Grand Suite(unless your top priority is to have a big bathroom). That was the only thing I felt was better than a Junior Suite. Having the Grand Suite, you will have access to the concierge lounge(if you are not a Diamond Crown and Anchor Member) and a bigger ice bucket. Otherwise, the junior suite felt bigger(the Grand Suite has wasted space behind the bar). My friend that goes on a lot of cruises with me could actually put a rollaway bed in the Junior Suite closet to sleep(I snore). He did not have this option in the Grand Suite(However, the balcony is big enough in both suites to fit a rollaway bed). I personally will not pay extra money ever again to have the Grand Suite. I will either travel in the Junior Suite, Owner's Suite, or the Royal Suite(if the price is ever right). This of course is my opinion. I also am one to say that it is worth paying the extra to have a balcony. I don't want to have to go to a public place to hear and see the ocean. I hope this helps a little. No matter what, I would rather have an inside room than not be able to cruise at all. Cruising is a great time, no matter what room you sleep in. Plan to have a GREAT time!!!
