Atlantis or other day pass???? or 'Day room' any info appreciated, leaving soon

Hi Everyone, well we luckily have a litte suprise time off an ddecided to take a 3night to nassau and cocoa cay;

I need info on hotel day passes, so please share with me,.....how was your experience with purchasing a day pass, how much?, how long? was it worth it? Thank you to everyone in advance. Sincerely, Amanda

On our last visit to Nassau (last month) we opted for the day pass at the British Colonial Hilton. It is literally a 10 minute walk from the dock. nice quiet beach, beautiful pool and live music from the pool bar area. It was such a relaxing day. There were plenty of beach chairs and they supply towels. Price was $15.00 per person; $7.50 for our 14 year-old. We thoroughly enjoyed the day....glad that we read about it here!

They don't allow jetski's at the hilton.. the age for riding a jetski in the bahamas has recently been raised to 18.

There have been several terrible, and fatal accidents recently.

We were there last week. Rented a room at Comfort Suites for $323 (total taxes, etc.) for four adults. Had access to the Atlantis beach, pools, etc. We had a wonderful time.

After taxes, etc. we paid $280 in June. We thought is was well worth the money. Once divided out, the same as an excursion, IMO.

Thinking about getting the comfort suites room. What do you exactly get to use at Atlantis? What time can you get wristbands from comfort suites so we can use their facilities?

You get access to everything on the Atlantis property. We got our wristbands at Comfort Suites about 10:00 a.m., but I am pretty sure you could get them almost anytime. I don't think the room would actually be ready until after 3:00 p.m., but if you are like us, we didn't want it anyway.

We got our room when we checked in, roughly 10:00. We took a change of clothes with us that we unloaded. We showered at the end of the day.

Plenty of room, not as cramped as the ship.
