Need FOS advice on Mo Bay

Recommended Posts

Hoping someone can enlighten us on what to do in Mo Bay. We have been going crazy researching excursions in Jamaica. Heard we need to be on a tour to be safe, but companies we have contacted say that since we don't dock in Ocho Rios, the falls/tubing is too far. We don't want to be on a bus for two hours, what else is there to do in Mo Bay with kids. Anyone recommend Margaritaville, or any of the RCI excursions?

Great place to check out is the ports of call boards here at CC. Lots of info. Sunset Beach is a place that accepts kids and has a small little water park now. Go to the POC boards and there will be more info, costs, etc. Margaritaville is a cab ride away and has a water slide, but no beach.

DRF is about 2 - 2 1/2 hour bus ride one way. If you really want to do that do a ship tour as they won't leave without you. You will go there and usually to Margaritaville OR for lunch and back. Not my first choice though.

There is Mayfield Falls in Mo'Bay, haven't been there, but sounds good. Doctor's Cave Beach is another choice not far away.

Good luck.

Been to MoBay one time on RCCL. Never will get off the ship again!

Stood on our balcony and got offered everything from sex to drugs.

Took our chances and got off and did some shopping for souveniers and to have my hubby's watch fixed at a ship recommended shop... that $5.00 repair cost us around $4,000 charged to our credit card. Needless to say this was the same credit card we used for our ship expenses. We found it out when we got to Cozumel and tried to use it at a jewelry shop there. Placed a call to credit card company and found that they closed the account due to fraudulent activity. Then had to go back to ship and re-do our ship account. The card company did take the charges off. Never again!
