We would like to go to a beach and snorkle in Aruba....I've read DePalm is

the best snorkling beach there. Anyone have any input???

Can you rent beach chairs??? Can you just enjoy the beach and water

without killing your feet????

Hurry with answers....leaving in 13 days

You can just Google de Palm island. They have a good site. Curious to see if you like it. So much of Arubas coral is dead. People standing on it and such. So very sad. We are still thinking of going there. They have all the amenities such as chairs. There is an all inclusive package with lunch and drinks. They are building a slide area and it may or may not be done when you get there. Also there is The Renassance hotel that offers day passes to their beach and island.

Actually quite alot of the coral in Aruba is very much alive. It depends on what part of the island you are on. Most of the coral is at very deep depths once you get past the breakers where the dropoff begins. If you have taken the Submarine ride, you'll see them.

The coral that people swim to is not really standable. It's too sharp & would require surgery with stitches on your feet should you attempt to stand on it. The island did get battered 2 years ago when the brushby with a hurricane banged up the coral reefs.

Baby beach had 20 foot waves coming in. When the first wave came in, people were scrambling & just grabbing anyone's kids to get away from the beach. The whole beach went under. There's a bunch of photo's over on webshots.com that showed this.
