Shoes again

I bought a dress at a second hand store yesterday! I'll have to do a small alteration if I'm going to wear it, but it was only $4.99 so I couldn't pass it up!

 

It is a strapless full-length dress in a satin fabric, and is an eggplant purple.

 

Now, what shoes? The only heels I own are black and I do not like them at all with this dress.

 

I know that silver/pewter has been mentioned a lot but I almost think the dress would look "cold" with that combination. I'm actually thinking of maybe a coppery/gold? or any other ideas?

 

do you need a picture of the dress to get an idea? if so, I'll see if i can come up with one tomorrow.

I think that gold would be a very good choice with eggplant/purple.

Copper might not work though.
