I love Kauai. Besides being beautiful, I find it wonderfully laid-back and relaxing. Some people really prefer Maui, where there is more of a "night life" and many things to do after sundown. Kauai is more "quiet"

 

We've taken whale-watching excursions which were great fun and boat trips to Kauai's NaPali Coast to see the amazing cliffs and coastline. But the best one, I would say, is a helicopter tour of Kauai. I'm sure other people will come up with other activities and more information on other islands.
