Yes, we did this excursion in March and had a great time. If you have an adventurous spirit, I would highly recommend this excursion. However, I like to give people the good and the bad so they can make the best decisions.

The 4x4 vehicles are a blast. However, since Dominica is a rain forest and these vehicles are open, you have to be prepared to get wet. When we started out, it was bright and sunny. About halfway up the mountain, the tour guide started pulling out rain ponchos. Before she could even get one to everyone, it started to rain hard. We really enjoyed this, it made it quite an adventure, but that might not be the same for everyone.

The botanical garden is ok. The lookout they take you to (you can see the ship) is quite nice. The waterfall is beautiful. There are a lot of people up there, but if you are patient, everyone gets a chance to get their picture taken with the waterfall in the background.

The swimming area was not at all what I expected. I was expecting some type of natural river or lake. However, it is actually a small river that is dammed to collect water to pipe into the city. The area you use to get ready for swimming is this little concrete patio (complete with locals that have set up their tables to sell souvenirs). Then you walk down, with your tour group, into the river next to the small dam and swim up stream. I love the water, but the whole place weirded me out and I did not do the swim. However, my husband and aunt did and they said the view in the cannon upstream was great; they loved it. If I went back, I would do the swim. So if you can get past the look of the outside of the area, the swim inside the cannon is worth it.

We liked the areas we visited. But for us, the best part of this whole excursion is riding in the 4x4 vehicles. After doing this excursion, I think it is the best way to enjoy the scenery and atmosphere of Dominica. If we went back, I would certainly do it again.
