CruiserDoc Posted July 4, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 4, 2004 Does anyone know of a tourguide similar to Godfrey(St. thomas) for a visit to St. Martin? I am escorting a group to St. Martin on the Caribbean Princess and wanted to offer a tour there.
gtaylor Posted July 4, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 4, 2004 How many people are in your group?
CruiserDoc Posted July 5, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted July 5, 2004 I have 75 signed up so far, but I doubt everyone would be interested. I will be meeting with the group in about 2 weeks and wanted to offer some options to them other than the Princess excursions.
gtaylor Posted July 6, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 6, 2004 Didn't expect a number like that. Our guess for a Godfrey tour full-up would be about 25. Our tour there were 8! I'll ask my friend on St. Maarten, but I don't think that she can handle anything like that.
gtaylor Posted July 7, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 7, 2004 This is way beyond my friend's capabilities, but she suggests that you contact the Tourist Board, and ask them. Good luck!
CruiserDoc Posted July 7, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted July 7, 2004 Thanks for inquiring. I doubt if the whole group would go on the same tour. Can you tell me the particulars if the group were 20-25?? Thanks!
gtaylor Posted July 8, 2004 #7 Share Posted July 8, 2004 Still well beyond my friend's capacity. I'd again recommend that you contact the Tourist Board, link in the post, above. If you have any other St. Maarten specific questions, we're visitors since 1981, and would love to help you out. Gary and Mary Ann (e-mail in my profile) Edited: Just tried it and the board says that I don't do e-mail. If you want to get in contact, please post again and we'll figure something out. sharon j Posted July 8, 2004 #8 Share Posted July 8, 2004 Question for GTaylor. Myself and 3 girlfriends are going to St. Martin in Feb 05. We are taking the Godfrey tour in St. Thomas and were wondering about a similiar thing in St. Martin. We would be interested in the information on what type of tours your friends provide. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
gtaylor Posted July 9, 2004 #9 Share Posted July 9, 2004 sharon j; Here's a description that my friend (her name is Joyce) e-mailed me earlier: The tour that I do is very personalized. I Work with my customers. If they want to do anything special I work with them but other wise than that I do the complete Island tour around the coast with a stop at Marigot for shopping and a stop in Philipsburg for shopping I go to the French Fort for picture taking, I go to Orient Beach, Oyster Bay Beach, The Butterfly Farm if they like. If they want to stop any where special for lunch or to go to the beach, I tie it all in. I only take one group at a time. I dont put two families or two groups together. This way it is easier for the customers to have their choice. I use my Wagon that can seat 4 comfortably. Her fee for a basic 2 hour tour for 4 people was $25 per person recently. She does have a website: Prince Personal Services
