FandMCruisers Posted July 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2006 I am currently booking shore excursions for our upcoming cruise on the Caribbean Princess on July 29. I was wondering if the ship remains on Eastern time since we are departing from Fort Lauderdale or if it changes time to match the islands. For instance, the ship schedule says we will be in Grand Cayman from 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Does that mean we will be there from 6:00 - 3:00 Cayman time or is the 7:00 - 4:00 listed as local time? I am worried about making it back in time for the tenders if we do the Stingray Sandbar and Island tour with Nativeways.
Sheffie Posted July 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2006 Each ship's captain is the one who makes the decision whether to change time or not. I would contact Nativeway and ask them about your ship. They see that ship every week, so they should know the answer to your question.
amateurcruisers Posted July 24, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 24, 2006 Upon boarding the ship you will be instructed to adhere to "Ships Time" and you won't need to be concerned with time zones. The entire cruise will be conducted on "Ships Time."
