jfoster51 Posted July 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2006 My wife and I are going to do the cave tubing during our cruise in SEpt. I have 2 quick questions. 1. How "refreshing" is the water? 2. Everywhere I read water shoe. I'm going to be honest, I hate water shoes. can you wear an old pair of tennis shoes for the excursion? Thanks in advance

Nice and cool, but I was there in Jan. I'm like you. I hate water shoes and my old tenners worked fine. Oh, by the way, I was told that the shoes (tenners) were named after the inventor, Theodor Q. Tenner Esquire. But, I digress.
cruiserlkb Posted July 26, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2006 we just did the excursion last week and personally I think tennis shoes would have been better. Take some old ones with and throw them away when you are done. we walked a long ways to the cave and it was muddy and slippery.
fireboat Posted July 26, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 26, 2006 How do you feel about Teva or other sports sandels? I worn mine and had no problems. They were dry by the time we left. But if you've got the room when packing, go with the old sneaks. And if you forget your shoes for formal night, wear them. Tell DW it's a statement.
