Phone Cards + Packing

Hello everyone, I am new to Cruise Critic!

I am leaving for the Carnival Fantasy on 8/5/06, going to Bahamas, Grand Turks, and Half Moon

It has been 5 to 6 years since my last cruise. I am looking for any helpful ideas in regards to items necessary, such as someone has told me a powerstrip.

Also, I am having difficulty finding phone cards that work in the Bahamas. Any recommendation?

Can't help with the phone cards, sorry.

 

Instead of taking one of the big power strips, I take a little 3" adapter. It plugs right into the outlet and gives you three additional plugins. $.79 at WalMart. Save a lotta room in your luggage. Enjoy your cruise!:)

For any port-- wait til you are in the port to buy your phone cards.

A lot of our cards sold here cant be used on the telephones there. Ask a waiter or cabin steward where to find the best deal- since they use them all the time they can better direct you to the places that sell them

 

Since half moon cay is a private island soemthing to ask--are there phones on the island?
