ICELAND EXCURSIONS-Akureyri and Reyjavik

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Just got back from a iCELAND CRUISE and was very fortunate in securing a private excursion versus the outrageous ships' excursions rates of $280 per person for both cities at 60% off. The excursions were the same as the ships with a few more side atractions thrown in but much more expedient because of less people to contend with and a privATE EXCELLENT GUIDE GIVING YOU MORE PERSONAL ATTENTION.

Booked with Nonni Travel out of Akureyri nonni@nonnitravel.is and was able to secure a very REASONAble tour to both cities much more cheaper than the ships tour. INTERESTED: Please write to Surekha at Nonni Travel or call her at 354 461 1841 A VERY REPUTABLE TRAVEL AGENCY OUT OF iCELAND THAT HANDLES THESE TOURS PRIVATELY. tHIS AGENCY IS HONEST, REPUTABLE AND HAS THE HIGHEST DEGREE OF REPECTABILITY OUT OF THE ICELAND TRAvel association.

Thank you for the Nonni Travel recommendation. We'll check it out.

If you see this message, could you pls tell me more about your cruise to Iceland. Not that many people seem to go there... How was it, which cruise line did you go with what about the sea conditions, was it rough? Did you have any problem? Any other suggestion on what to do or not to do. Thanks! Irne

Try asking any questions you have about these ports on the Western Europe board. Many of the cruises that go to Norway and/or the British Isles visit ports in Iceland as do many Northern TransAtlantic itineraries.

We've been to both of these ports many times and also to Isafjordur (another Icelandic port visted by cruise ships). We've only done 2 shorexes - both from Reykjavik, but if you have any questions about navigating yourself around the 2 cities, I may be able to help.
