Tell me your MUST HAVE pictures

We're heading off on our first cruise in just 22 days and I'd like to start a list of pictures that are a must have. Here's our specifics.....

We're on the Norwegian Dawn and going to

Nassau Bahamas

Kings Wharf Bermuda

Great Stirrup Cay

ps...I have also posted this in the cruise memorabilia thread but also wanted to post it on the Norwegian board for those of you who have been on the Dawn AND these islands specifically.

On the ship in the Le Bistro restaurant the Masters paintings.......if they are still on the ship......these are originals, on loan from the private collection of the owner of STAR cruises. You should be able to get in there in the day time to take the photos, while people aren't eating. I've heard the paintings will be leaving soon to have some work done on them before they get displayed on one of the new ship....probably the Pearl.

I'm looking through our photos of our Dawn cruise...here are the highlights...

If it's your first cruise then take your camera along for the muster drill so you can take pics of each other in your life vests. (DO NOT put the whistle in your mouth. Everyone before you has put the whistle in their mouth. Gross.)

Take a pic of the Intrepid if the Dawn is docked beside her. Of course take pics of the NYC skyline, the Statue of Liberty as you pass and the Verrazzano Narrows as you go underneath. (and do the same in the morning of your return) The Statue will be on the right (starboard) side for sailaway and on the port side for your last morning.

Take a pic of your cabin and any towel animals your room steward may make for you. The cabin pic is so that when you go on your many subsequent cruises you'll remember your first one better! :)

Hubby took a cool pic which works for any ship - of the very back of the ship and wake once she's underway.

At Nassau, if she's docked aft-in take a pic of the back of the ship from the dock - you can really see the detail in the dining room windows. If you go to Atlantis on Paradise Island, look for the glass sculptures in the casino.

Get a shot of the painted hull of the Dawn as you leave the ship on the tender at Great Stirrup Cay. Then, be sure to catch the "Waiters in the Water" - who are there for photo ops for the ship's photographer, but there's nothing that says you can't take a pic with your own camera!

For some reason, hubby took a pic of all the suitcases in the corridor the night before disembarking. He thought it was neat. Maybe you will too.

Also, forgot to add as I wasn't looking at my 'muda pics, but a Bermuda icon is the moongate if you can find one (there's one at the park in Hamilton if you take the ferry)...pink sand..and also a native in Bermuda attire would be a good shot (also in Hamilton - there's a traffic officer in traditional garb right near the port area).
