pflorio994 Posted July 31, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2006 My DH and I are leaving for Greece this Friday. He wants to wear slacks on all the cruise tours. I told him he can just wear shorts. My questions is do men wear shorts or slacks on the excursions. I remember in Italy, he did wear slacks because of the churches, but we are touring ruins. Any ideas, please help. Manama Posted July 31, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2006 I've been on two Mediterranean cruises and would say the majority of people wear shorts the majority of the time. As you need to wear trousers to get into the cathedrals we take trousers which zip off into shorts. We wear them as shorts and just zip the legs back on to go into the church and whip them back off when we come out. In England these trousers are available in all outdoor/camping shops and we find ours really useful for cruises. Columbia have a good range for men and women. You'll also find the ships are quite chilly with the air conditioning on sea days and it's always good to have a pair of long trousers and a sweater. Hope this helps
pflorio994 Posted July 31, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted July 31, 2006 thanks for your help - I guess I will have him bring 1 xtra pair of casual slacks - just in case. He wears shorts all the time, but he thought he needed to wear slacks on the ship excursions.
