Grand Cayman West Bay

I have read that beach at West Bay is less crowded and has plenty of trees for shade. This area is at the far end of 7 mile beach. Has anyone been there who can provide info including faciltiies, chair rental, shade, etc? Thanks.

The only beach area in the West Bay area that offers restrooms, food, chair rentals and water toy rental (Red Sail Sports) is Sea Grape. Beyond that is the public beach, but other than picnic tables, I didn't see anything else. As for this being crowded, a lot depends on how many ships are in port. I don't know how many trees there are...we've only driven by, but there did seem to be more trees down on that end of the beach (Sea Grape and the public beach).

 

We rented a waverunners from Red Sail and I think it was $60 or $65 for 30-45 minutes...I can't remember exactly. :)
