Verizon wireless service?? Does it work??

I just called Verion wireless and asked if my cell phone would work and they told me no. I just thought that being it worked off of satellites it would work. So my question is... has Bermuda have cell phone service??

Cellular phones work off of cell tower technology. The signal may eventually find itself routed through satellites just as your land lines do, but cellular phones are not satellite phones. Do you have a cellular phone or a satellite phone?

 

If you have a verizon cellular phone, it will work in Bermuda. If you do not have international calling, you will pay a roaming charge as explained in the thread I referred you to above.
