auburn77 Posted August 2, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2006 We are planning a cruise on the Mariner. We have always had a balcony or an oceanview on Carnival. This time we are going to try an inside, but would like a window. How are the Promenade cabins? They are not much more than a regular inside. Also, they are on deck eight. Good deck? Thanks. Looking forward to a change.

Matisse05 Posted August 2, 2006 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2006 Love the promenade rooms. They are wonderful for people watching and also for looking at various activities that happing on the promenade. You can get great views of the parade if you are closer to the middle. We booked about 7 promenades on the EOS deck 6. DH and I were above the Weekend Warrior and never had a problem with noise. The only noise was from the parade and while the band and other performers were practicing in the promenade while in port. I do know that the windows on deck 8 slant downward for viewing. For our next group cruise on Freedom, we have 5 requests again for promenades so far. This time we are on deck 7 but same vacinity. DH & I can't get a promenade this time since they only sleep 2, as we are taking our baby. Balcony room for us this time, just across the hall from promenades. If you get a PR, just remember to close your curtains while changing! ;) :D
