Operational Overnight - Beijing

We are taking the Oct. 26, 2006 Sapphire Princess cruise. Does anyone know what hotel Princess is using for the operational overnight in Beijing before the cruise? We are doing a Great Wall tour the floowing day. Am I correct in thinking that we would be dropped off at the ship after the tour?

The Operational Overnight Hotel always includes the transfer to the ship. :D

Great Wall Sheraton should be your Hotel. It is located north and east of the Forbidden City, on the way to the Beijing Capital Airport.

However, is the Great Wall Tour through Princess, or Independent? :confused:

We were told by Princess that we must book the tour thru the hotel. I don't know if it is Princess tour or an independent.

I think you should check with Princess as to whether you have time to take the Great Wall Tour. ;)

I really think that Princess takes you straight from the Hotel to Xingang Port; therefore, there is no time for the Great Wall. :confused:

Maybe time for the Forbidden City.

The Great Wall is North of Beijing, about an hour's drive, each direction, so we have allocated a whole day for this excursion. We are on the 2 October Sapphire (Beijing to Osaka)and staying in Beijing for one week pre-cruise. :cool:
