turtle encounter clarification

I did not do the ship's excursion but did this on the Silvermoon II catamarn. There is a lot of infomation on both Silvermoon's on the Barbados board if you are interested.

 

The water is deep but the boat I was on gave out vests. You do not use snorkel fins, only the mask.

 

I saw on the other thread talk about a strong current. There wasn't any current the day we were there.

 

There were no crowds. It was only our boat in the area.

 

One of the guys on the boat got in the water with food for the turtles. Lots of them came swimming around us. You can touch their backs if you want. We also floated around and watched them swim beneath us. We saw big ones and some very small ones.
