Rccl Vs. Celebrity

Recommended Posts

Some things are much better on RCI others are better on Celebrity.
First let me say that I did NOT enjoy my Celebrity cruise last year.
Celebrity does have much better food and it is served more properly.
I prefer RCI because:
1. There is more night life on the ship
2. There is better entertainment on the ship
3. There is a more culturally diverse population of passengers on the ship
4. IMHO The ships of RCI are prettier

If you are a suite guest - on a ship with concierge service, I greatly prefer the concierge on RCI to the butler thingie on Celebrity.

Try it, you may like it.

We like X, but agree with the first poster; the entertainment is far better on RCCL.. Think X caters to a mainly older crowd...and by, that I mean sixties and seventies etc.

We're giving RCCL another whirl this Nov, to see if this still holds true. Happy sails to all.

We prefer Celebrity, although have enjoyed both lines. We are not in our 60-s or 70's. Both in late 40's. Celebrity has significantly better food and service. We have cruised on suite levels for both lines and the Butler service that Celebrity has is great. He really made our cruise wonderful. We've been on both Navigator and Majesty of the Seas and several Celebrity ships. While I don't question that RCCL has much MORE entertainment I don't agree that it is better than Celebrity. The big shows were much better on Celebrity.

Celebrity is a more upscale line and we choose it when we want to really feel pampered. RCCL is a more "FUN" line and we can't wait for our Radiance trip this December, from what I read it may have the best of what both lines have to offer.

Either way they both offer a great cruise experience
