Bridge Tour???

I have seen posts in the past about cruisers requesting a bridge tour their first day in writing given to the pursers desk, addressed to the captain. Has anyone done this? My husband would love this. We are on the Miracle 10-01-06. Just wondering if it is worth a try?

You can always ask, since 9/11 they are pretty shy about it.

Did this on the Inspiration Xmas 2004. Just wrote a note and ask the Purser to give it to the Captain. They called us and we got a tour on a port day. Was really cool! Never hurts to ask!

It used to be a regular tour (like the galley tour), but as pointed out above, they don't do that much anymore. However, you can always ask and usually the captain will accomodate. It's very interesting, so well worth asking.

I just got back from the Ecstasy on Monday. They had a video of a tour of the bridge and engine room that played on one of the TV channels. They said because of security they no longer give the actual tour. You also get the video if you by the cruise DVD.
