Med Shore Excursions

We are going to the Mediterranean end of Sept. I have been looking for some shore excursion companies in that area especially in Florence and Venice. We are a small group...2 and I am finding it hard to get a good rate unless we are 6-8 people. Any recommendations?:rolleyes:

Look into the excursions offered by the ship... When we went to the Med the excursions where very well put together and the guides were very professional. I felt like I learned so much while I was on my excursions. It's much different than an excursion in the caribbean.....

Unlike the caribbean, there are not so many independent excursion operators in europe. The big operators use 50-60 seat coaches and contract to the cruise lines. If you really want to travel without the crowds you could look for a taxi....

 

The cruise line excursions are not always the cheapest, but they are flexible... if your cruise itenary changes (and weather can cause this quite easily) the excursions are changed or cancelled with a full refund, and if a coach breaks down the ship will wait for you....
